8U TEAMS WIN BIG!
8U BLUE AND 8U SILVER GRIND OUT CHAMPIONSHIPS AT THE MITE MARCH MADNESS TOURNAMENT!
New Jersey Colonials 8U Blue and 8U Silver earned Championship Trophies Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Ocean Ice Palace Mite March Madness Tournament in Brick, NJ.
Coach Herr’s 8U Blue team faced a Tom’s River Blackhawk team in the final game on Sunday; a team they lost to in their first game of the tournament. Going down 1-0 in the first couple minutes, the boys worked hard to come from behind and lock up a 5-3 victory!
Coach Capone and Coach Decker’s 8U Silver team won in DRAMATIC fashion. Being down 5-2, the team rallied to tie the game 5-5 in the final minutes of the game. It took TWO overtimes, but the boys from Silver SHOCKED a very good Woodbridge Wolfpack team to bring home the Championship!
There were a lot of wins this weekend, but more importantly there was also a lot of FUN as well. Congrats to 8U Blue and 8U Silver!
