‘Tis the Season – Christmas Wrapping, Colonials Style

10U Major and 14U White Support local charities during the holiday season.

There may have been singing but definitely a whole lot of wrapping as 2 teams adopted families through local Morristown organizations. Way to show the true meaning of the Holidays! Great job!

10U Major – Hope for the Holidays

The Colonials Girls 10U Major team and their families celebrated by helping a family in need through Hope for the Holidays, a holiday giving campaign sponsored by Cornerstone Family Programs & Neighborhood House, a Morristown-based non-profit organization providing support to local families.

The team “adopted a family” and purchased or donated many gifts to help a single mom and her two young children have a special holiday season.  To get into the Holiday spirit, the girls had a gift wrapping/pizza party at Mennen after their 4-1 victory over the Montclair Blues.

14U White – Family Promise

The Colonials Girls 14U White team sponsored a family for the second year in a row through Family Promise, another Morristown non-profit organization helping local families find affordable housing.

This year’s family included a mom and her two daughters.  Colonials families purchased gifts from a wish list which contained many “need to have” items as opposed to “want to have items.”  It was a great experience and a positive way for them to give back to those who are not as fortunate.
