Kristen Barbara's background in pro and university hockey provides a solid foundation for generating elite team and player performance.  She encourages a positive team culture to complement player development.

Coach Barbara played University hockey for York.  Playing defense, she posted 71 points in 150 career games, earning CIS All-Rookie Team and CIS All-Canadian honors in 2015.  She served as team captain in her 5th and final season at school.

Upon graduation, Barbara was drafted 28th overall by the Brampton Thunder in the 2016 CWHL Draft and played three seasons for the Thunder.   The team, who became the Markham Thunder, captured the Clarkson Cup in 2018.  Barbara played with PWHPA in 2019–20.  She played with the NWHL Toronto Six on 2020-21 and PHF Metropolitan Riveters in 2021-22.

Emily Janiga brings an extensive hockey background to the Colonials organization as both a player and coach. She competed in the PHF, NWHL, PWHPA, CWHL as a professional.  She played NCAA DI level for Mercyhurst, where she captained the varsity women's team during her Junior and Senior years.  She scored 151 points (72 Goals, 79 Assists) in her career and earned Female Athlete of the Year in 2016. The team made 3 NCAA Final 8 and 2 NCAA Frozen Four tournaments.  Janiga was named to the All-CHA First team, the College Hockey America Conference (CHA) Player of the Year, the conference scoring leader, and was a member of the All-CHA First Team.

Janiga has coached in youth hockey since graduating in 2016. Her repertoire includes the 19U, 16U and 14U levels, the Buffalo Sabres Learn to Play (LTP), the Skating Instructor Academy of Hockey in Buffalo, and most recently, Skate with the HEAT.

During her time in the CWHL with the Vanke Rays, she worked as a Beijing 2022 Women's Sport Ambassador to assist in the global grassroots growth and promotion of female hockey in preparation for the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Coach Janiga not only brings a true passion for growing the game of hockey to the forefront of her efforts, but her experiences with growing the game are unparalleled.

Madison Lange played Tier 1 (AAA) hockey with the New Jersey Rockets before starting her NCAA career at Stevenson University, where she won a conference championship in 2016 and ranked among the top 100 goal scorers in Division III in 2015 and 2016.

After college, Lange served as a head coach for U16 Major and U19 Tier 1 teams with the Rockets and Ironbound Hockey clubs, where she also helped several players advance to collegiate programs. She has led skills clinics and coached for Pro Ambitions Hockey Camps for several years, focusing on player development and high-performance training.
