14U Major Show “Jersey Cares”

TEAM CREATES BLANKETS AND CARE KITS FOR LOCAL CHARITY

The 14U Major AAA Girls team joined Jersey Cares and helped make fleece blankets and “first night care kits” to donate. The team was split into four groups and worked together to make 2 blankets and 3 “first night care kits”. The blankets and kits are being dropped off at their facility in Livingston, NJ.

FIRST NIGHT KIT ASSEMBLY

Assemble kits for homeless shelters, transitional housing facilities, and family services centers filled with essential hygiene items. Individuals and families spending their “first night” will receive a First Night Kit filled with shampoo, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, and other essential hygiene products to help them through a difficult period of their lives.

NO-SEW FLEECE BLANKET ASSEMBLY

Assemble no-sew fleece blankets to keep our neighbors warm and cozy throughout the year. Each no-sew fleece blanket will be donated to a homeless shelter, transitional housing facility, or family services center.  — Emily Janiga
