HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS

FOUR NJC TEAMS ADOPTED CLASSROOM'S FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE OF MORRIS COUNTY

The New Jersey Colonials 14U Major Red, 14U Major Blue, 12U Major and 12U Major 2009 teams collaborated to “adopt” four classrooms as part of the Neighborhood House’s Hope for the Holidays campaign in Morristown, NJ.  The teams purchased items on each child’s wish list (and more!) and came together to wrap the gifts.  It was an opportunity for the players and parents to actively participate in community service while bonding with fellow Colonials members.  Volunteer parents will deliver the packages to Neighborhood House in time for the holidays.

The Neighborhood House, located in Morristown, provides preschool and other educational services to children in the Morris County area whose mission is, “Strengthening communities by helping people build better lives.  Cornerstone Family Programs and Morristown Neighborhood House provide resources to people from age 2 to 102 in the Greater Morris County area. Together we impact the lives of over 6,000 people. We believe that everyone deserves a chance for a happy, healthy and productive life.  In 2013, Cornerstone Family Programs and Morristown Neighborhood House joined forces with this shared mission of serving the community. Together, the two organizations have impacted the lives of over 30,000 residents.”

Special thanks to the NJC teams for helping to make the holidays special for the Neighborhood House students!
