WAYSIDE WELL COMMUNITY EVENT – 2.18.22

The Boys 10U Major 2011 team gathered on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Mennen Sports Arena to assemble “necessity” bags for the Wayside Well organization to distribute.  The bags contained items such as hand towels, band-aids, toilet paper that not readily available from larger homeless shelters.  In addition, each player wrote a card of support and added snacks as a special treat.  This event was organized by team parent, Meghan Milano as way to support Wayside Well and the local homeless community.

Wayside Well is a non-profit 501(c)3 founded by Jane Devlin. She started Wayside Well just 3 years ago with a hope to just befriend and help out a few of the homeless she encountered.  Her mission has grown and she had made quiet a few friends and routinely checks in on them, celebrates their birthdays and spend hours at night to help them to get to warming centers in the cold winter months.
